Individual support

Individual sex therapy is a therapeutic process designed to help a person overcome difficulties or disorders related to their sexuality. This approach focuses on the individual, their experiences, emotions, and sexual behaviors. It is intended for anyone facing sexual issues that affect their personal well-being, sexual fulfillment, or intimate quality of life.

Objectives of individual sex therapy

The main objective of individual sex therapy is to help the person better understand their sexuality, identify the sources of their difficulties, and overcome them in a constructive manner. Specific objectives may include:
Understanding psychological barriers: Sometimes, anxieties, fears, or limiting beliefs negatively influence a person's sexuality (fear of failure, performance, intimacy, etc.).

Improving self-esteem: A poor self-image can impact sexuality. Sex therapy can help build self-confidence and restore self-worth.

Regulate sexual disorders: Whether the problem is premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, vaginismus, lack of sexual desire, or difficulty reaching orgasm, sex therapy can identify the causes and provide appropriate solutions.

Desire and pleasure: Sex therapy can also help individuals reconnect with their sexual desire and pleasure by exploring their needs and expectations in a more relaxed and open manner.

Overcoming sexual trauma: Traumatic events (assault, abuse, past negative experiences) can have lasting repercussions on one's sex life. Sex therapy helps to treat these traumas and free the person from the psychological consequences they have caused.

My role as a sex therapist
As a professional trained and specialized in sexuality issues, I take a caring, non-judgmental, and discreet approach to building a relationship of trust with you.
My mission is to help individuals understand the root causes of their sexual difficulties and find appropriate solutions, while respecting their values and pace.

The main stages of support are as follows:
Initial assessment: we begin by listening carefully to the individual's concerns and difficulties. This allows us to better understand the situation and define clear therapeutic goals.

Analysis of underlying causes: Sex therapy seeks to understand the psychological, emotional, and sometimes physiological factors that cause the difficulties. This includes exploring the person's relationship with sexuality, personal beliefs, family history, and trauma.

Implementation of strategies and exercises: Depending on the nature of the difficulties, I offer various therapeutic tools, such as relaxation exercises, stress management, communication exercises, or sexual rehabilitation techniques.

Follow-up and reassessment: Sex therapy is a gradual process. I regularly assess the patient's progress and adjust the approaches according to the progress made or obstacles encountered.
